Hi, I'm Melissa. 

Firstly, thank you for being here. 

The fact that you've taken the time to learn about our family business honestly means more to me than you probably realise. 

If you're anything like me, you like knowing who's behind the products you buy. I know I certainly do. 

So rather than telling you about a company, I'd love to tell you our story. 

Because EVOE has never just been about making bras. 

It's about making life a little more comfortable for women. 

It Started With My Own Experience 

I was in my late fifties when everything changed. 

Like so many women, my body was changing as I went through menopause. 

Bras that had never bothered me before suddenly felt hot, tight and uncomfortable. 

By the end of the day, I couldn't wait to take mine off. 

I'm sure many women reading this know exactly what I mean. 

I remember saying to my husband one day, 

"Surely it doesn't have to be like this." 

That one sentence became the beginning of EVOE. 

Not because I wanted to start a fashion business. 

But because I wanted to create something I genuinely wanted to wear myself. 

If it could help me, maybe it could help other women too. 

We Decided To Do Things Differently 

Our family has always worked in design, engineering and manufacturing. 

We're the sort of people who enjoy solving problems. 

If something can be made better, we'll keep working on it until it is. 

When we started researching the clothing industry, we were surprised to discover how many products were being manufactured using similar materials, similar construction methods and almost always overseas. 

There was nothing wrong with wanting to reduce costs. 

But for us, comfort and quality had to come first. 

So we made a decision that many people told us was far too ambitious. 

We decided to build our own manufacturing facility right here in Perth, Western Australia. 

Believing In Australian Manufacturing 

I'll be honest with you. 

Manufacturing in Australia isn't the easiest path. 

Australia has some of the highest sewing wages and manufacturing costs in the world. 

We understood that from the very beginning. 

We also knew that Australians genuinely want to support Australian-made businesses—but only if the products are still affordable. 

That's why we didn't simply invest in sewing machines. 

More Than $1 Million Invested in Australian Manufacturing

We invested more than $1 million into building an efficient manufacturing facility with specialised production lines, modern equipment and manufacturing systems that allow us to produce our garments more efficiently while maintaining exceptional quality. 

Our goal has never been to make the cheapest bra. 

Our goal has been to make the best Australian-made bra we possibly can—and to keep it within reach of everyday Australian women. 

Every bra we make is still proudly designed, cut, sewn and quality checked right here in our Perth factory. 

That is something I will always be incredibly proud of. 

Every Bra Begins With Listening 

One of the things I love most about EVOE is talking with our customers. 

Every day I speak with women from all walks of life. 

Some are going through menopause. 

Some are recovering from breast surgery. 

Some are new mums navigating pregnancy and breastfeeding. 

Others simply want to be comfortable again. 

Every conversation teaches us something. 

Sometimes it's a tiny detail that no one else would notice. 

Sometimes it's an idea that completely changes the way we think about a design. 

Those conversations are one of the biggest reasons our bras continue to improve. 

Designed, Sampled and Tested in Our Perth Factory

Because we own our factory, we don't have to wait months for an overseas supplier to make changes. 

We can create a new pattern. 

Sew a sample. 

Test it. 

Wear it. 

Change it. 

Then test it all over again. 

Sometimes we'll adjust the same pattern 15-20 times before we're happy with it. 

We don't stop when it's "good enough." 

We stop when it feels right. 

That attention to detail is something our family has always believed in. 

Why Our Bras Feel Different 

People often ask me why an EVOE bra feels so different. 

The answer isn't one big secret. 

It's hundreds of thoughtful decisions. 

Premium Bamboo Fabrics

We chose premium bamboo because it feels incredibly soft, breathes beautifully and helps women feel more comfortable as their bodies change. 

Cut-and-Sewn Wire-Free Support

We developed a cut-and-sewn construction because it creates structured wire-free support that knitted garments alone can't achieve. 

We engineered support around the torso so the bra doesn't rely solely on shoulder straps. 

We designed our straps to work as part of the support system, helping them stay comfortably in place throughout the day. 

Simple, Adaptive Design

We removed unnecessary hooks and clasps because, after years of testing and listening to women, we found that simpler really could be better. 

Every one of those decisions came from listening to real women—not chasing fashion trends. 

 Designed for Women's Changing Bodies

One thing I've learnt through this journey is just how much women's bodies change throughout life.

Our breasts and bodies can change through menstruation, pregnancy, breastfeeding, menopause, breast surgery, weight changes and ageing.

And sometimes they can change from one day to the next.

That's why we've taken a different approach to designing bras.

We believe a woman's bra should adapt to her changing body—not expect her body to adapt to the bra.

Our adaptive designs combine soft bamboo fabrics, flexible stretch, wire-free construction and carefully engineered support to provide comfort through many different stages of a woman's life.

More Than 150,000 Bras Made in Australia

When we launched EVOE in 2021, I never imagined where this journey would take us. 

Today we've proudly manufactured more than 150,000 bras right here in Australia. 

What means the most to me isn't the number. 

It's the messages. 

The photos. 

The reviews. 

The women who tell us they've finally found a bra they can wear comfortably all day. 

The women who say they no longer rush home just to take their bra off. 

The women recovering from surgery who tell us they finally feel comfortable again. 

Those are the moments that remind me why we started. 

Our Promise To You 

Every decision we make comes back to one simple question. 

Would I happily wear this myself? 

If the answer is no... 

We go back and improve it. 

If I wouldn't recommend it to my daughters, my granddaughters, my family or my closest friends, then it simply isn't ready. 

That's the standard we've set for ourselves. 

It's the standard we'll continue to work towards every single day.
