Easy Bras to Put On With Arthritis or Limited Mobility
Why We Didn't Simply Make Another Front-Closing Bra
Front-closing bras are frequently recommended to older women.
So during the development of EVOE's adaptive bras, we explored them too.
We considered front-opening systems using hooks, clasps and zippers.
We also spoke with experienced bra fitters.
And we discovered something important.
Moving the fastening from the back of the bra to the front doesn't necessarily remove the problem.
For a woman experiencing arthritis, reduced finger dexterity, loss of grip strength, shoulder problems or limited arm movement, small hooks, clasps and zippers can still be surprisingly difficult to manipulate.
Then there's the manoeuvring required to get the bra into position before fastening it.
So we chose a simpler answer.
We removed the fastening.
No traditional back hooks.
No front hooks.
No clasp.
No zipper.
Depending on your mobility and body shape, an EVOE bra can be pulled gently over your head or stepped into and pulled upwards into position.
The adaptive fabric stretches while dressing before returning comfortably into position on the body.
