Breast Cancer Bras Perth

Comfortable Mastectomy, Lumpectomy and Breast Cancer Bra Fittings in Hillarys

Soft, wire-free bras and compassionate support for the body you have today.

Finding a comfortable bra after breast cancer surgery can feel much harder than it should.

Many women who visit our Hillarys store have already spent years trying bras that rub against scars, press on sensitive areas, sit unevenly, feel too rigid and they had all but given up before they had found us.

Some arrive wearing bras they were encouraged to purchase but cannot comfortably wear. Others have ordered style after style online because they could not find somewhere in Perth.

At EVOE Australia, we offer a different choice: soft, wire-free bras and a fitting experience built around the woman—not around making her body fit a predetermined garment shape.

Our Australian-made bras are designed to move, stretch and gently mould to each woman’s individual body shape. The soft, flexible cups adapt to the natural shape and differences of each breast, while the wider straps, underband and surrounding fabric work together to create a breathable, body-moulding fit with comfortable everyday support. All EVOE styles also include internal pockets that can accommodate many breast forms and prostheses.

Visit us at Hillarys Boat Harbour in Perth’s northern suburbs for calm, personal assistance from mature aged women who understand that this is about much more than buying a bra.

Looking for a comfortable breast cancer bra in Perth?

Whatever brought you here, we warmly invite you to visit EVOE in Hillarys, where you can feel the fabrics, try on different styles and discover what feels comfortable for your body.

Our bra fittings are all about you—not about making a sale.

We know that after breast cancer, many women already feel physically and emotionally exhausted. The last thing you need is to spend hours trying on bra after bra, feeling frustrated or pressured into buying something that doesn't feel right.

Because EVOE bras are designed differently, our fittings are often much simpler. Our soft, flexible cups gently mould to your individual body shape, with each cup size comfortably fitting a range of breast shapes and sizes. Rather than trying to make your body fit a rigid moulded cup, the bra adapts to you.

For many women, finding the right fit takes around ten minutes.

If you love how it feels, wonderful. If it isn't right for you, that's perfectly okay too.

There is never any pressure to purchase.

Our mission has always been to help women feel comfortable again—not to sell them a bra they don't love.

Whether your body has changed because of a lumpectomy, mastectomy, reconstruction, radiation treatment, swelling, asymmetry or you wear a breast prosthesis, you'll be treated with kindness, respect and genuine care every step of the way.

A bra fitting that feels safe, private and unhurried

Walking into a bra shop after breast cancer can feel deeply personal.

Your body may have changed in ways you did not choose. You may be adjusting to a lumpectomy, a single or double mastectomy, reconstruction, expanders, radiation changes, scars or a breast prosthesis. For some women, a fitting is the first time they have allowed another person close to the area since surgery.

We understand that this can bring anxiety, grief, embarrassment or vulnerability. You do not need to hide those feelings when you visit EVOE.

We listen first. We explain the options. We help you try different sizes and styles. We give you privacy and time. You can bring your breast form, prosthesis, a trusted friend or family member, and you can leave without buying anything.

No pushy selling or pressure to purchase

Time to explain what feels painful or uncomfortable

A focus on the body you have today—not the body a bra expects you to have

Why so many women mention Melissa

Sometimes the person helping you is just as important as the bra itself.

After breast cancer, many women tell us they feel anxious about buying a bra.

Their body has changed.

They may be living with scars, tenderness, swelling, asymmetry or wearing a breast prosthesis.

For some women, this is one of the first steps in learning to feel comfortable in their changing body again.

Others have been told there are very few options available or have spent hundreds of dollars on bras that simply didn't feel right.

At EVOE, we understand that finding a bra after breast cancer isn't just about support.

It's about trust.

Over the years, Melissa has helped thousands of women find comfort, confidence and bras that work for the body they have today.

She knows that every woman walks through our door with a different story.

That's why she takes the time to listen first.

There is no pressure.

No judgement.

No rushing you through a fitting.

No expectation that your body should fit into one particular bra.

Instead, Melissa helps you find the bra that feels right for the body you have today.

Because we believe comfort begins with feeling understood.

❤️ "It wasn't just about selling a bra."

"When your breasts are taken away from you—not by choice—and you go into a shop and meet a lovely lady who takes the time, is compassionate about your needs and makes you feel like a woman again, it means so much.

Thank you, Mel. It wasn't just about selling a product; it was about listening to me and my needs."

— Melina, Breast Cancer Survivor

❤️ "She made me feel feminine again."

Mel was absolutely wonderful—kind, compassionate and so understanding of my situation. She took the time to explain how the bamboo bra would be gentle against my delicate skin after surgery.

I'm so pleased with my bra. It's incredibly soft and comfortable, and it makes me feel feminine again, which means so much.

Ladies, if you're searching for a comfortable, feminine and beautifully soft bra, this is definitely the place to go."

I'll definitely be back for more. It's also wonderful to find something made locally."

Another shared:

"Had the most amazing surprise when my friend came to Hillarys to buy another bra after my breast cancer surgery. Mel heard my story and gave me another bra. These are the only bras I can comfortably wear while healing."

❤️ "She listened."

"Ok !! i have this huge connection with this brand and its owner, Mel ! Its a long story but short Version is on either the week or the day the store opened at Hillarys I came in to the store I'm a large busted lady so the idea of having some cleavage without underwire impressed me straight away however the beautiful Mel and I got talking and I was in a very very bad way at that time in my life I had been told I only had six months to live! I looked like a zombie! We got chatting and Mel asked about my illness and half hour later my mum came into the store to see if ok, Mel and I were in full emotional deep conversations about what i was going through, mum joined in and then her water works started we all cracked a bit! And let's just say her generosity made me and Mum cry like babies when got into car!
We told anyone who would listen that not only are you getting the most comfortable bra of your life but you would be supporting an amazing woman who started her own business and found a niche in the market and just absolutely smashed it! Mel i hope you see this comment and remember me? X"

You don't need to face this alone.

Many women walk through our door feeling nervous.

Some are worried about how their body has changed.

Some are frightened that they won't find anything comfortable.

Others simply want someone who understands what they've been through.

If that's how you're feeling, you're not alone.

Melissa has helped hundreds of women through that same journey.

Whether you leave with one bra or none at all doesn't matter.

What matters is that you leave feeling heard, respected and knowing there are people who genuinely care.

Because that's what EVOE has always been about.

Helping women.

More than a bra fitting

A bra fitting after breast cancer is not simply a retail transaction.

It can be the moment a woman feels comfortable enough to talk about what hurts. It can be the first time she sees herself in a bra that does not feel matronly or clinical. It can be the first time since surgery that she looks in the mirror and feels more like herself.

That is why compassion matters. Listening matters. The way a woman is spoken to and touched matters. Her privacy, dignity and choices matter.

We want every woman who walks into EVOE to feel that she has been heard—not handled, rushed or pushed into a purchase.

Why women travel to Hillarys for EVOE

Women travel to our Hillarys store from across Perth and regional Western Australia because many have struggled to find a bra that works for their changed body and a fitting experience that feels genuinely supportive.

Based on our experience in store, we estimate that around 70% of the women who visit us travel approximately one hour each way because they have not been able to find a comfortable option closer to home.

They are not travelling because bra shopping is convenient. They travel because comfort, dignity and being understood matter—and because many have already tried options that did not work for them.

Breast cancer bra fittings in Perth’s northern suburbs

EVOE is located at Hillarys Boat Harbour, making our store accessible to women throughout Perth’s northern suburbs as well as those travelling from the wider metropolitan area and regional Western Australia.

Women visit us from Hillarys, Sorrento, Duncraig, Carine, Karrinyup, Greenwood, Kingsley, Padbury, Craigie, Woodvale, Joondalup, Ocean Reef, Mullaloo, Edgewater, Currambine, Mindarie, Wanneroo, Scarborough, Trigg and beyond.

Support for different breast cancer experiences

Every breast cancer journey is different. There is no single bra that is right for every surgery, scar, body shape, breast form or stage of recovery.

After a lumpectomy or breast-conserving surgery

A lumpectomy can leave swelling, tenderness, underarm sensitivity and a difference in the size or shape of the breasts. Conventional moulded cups may gape on one side, press on the other or make the difference feel more noticeable.

EVOE’s flexible fabric and separate cup construction allow each breast to be supported independently instead of forcing both sides into identical rigid cups.

What Our Customers Say

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"I have uneven sized breasts due to breast cancer... I didn't notice the size difference nearly as much."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Also works very well in keeping them looking much the same size (which they are not following breast cancer surgery). Not sure how it does that but thanks very much for that."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"I shared that I had breast cancer and have had no end of trouble getting a bra to not only fit but feel comfy; Evoe has solved both my concerns and even made my scarred and uneven chest look like I have even breast size!"

After a single mastectomy

After a single mastectomy, you may choose to remain flat, wear a breast form or use a partial prosthesis. Your preferences may also change from day to day.

Selected EVOE styles include internal pockets that can hold many breast forms. The flexible cups can also accommodate differences between the two sides without relying on stiff foam or underwire.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"It's so comfortable, I literally forget I'm wearing it, no more ripping my bra off as soon as I get home from work! Having recently undergone a mastectomy I've slipped a soft cup in on one side into the ready made pocket and it's perfect. Highly recommend"

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Just amazing! Feels like I have nothing on, no pain on mastectomy scars and great support and so breathable too!"

After a double mastectomy

After a double mastectomy, comfort needs can depend on scar placement, reconstruction, expanders, sensitivity and whether you choose to wear breast forms.

Many women look for broad, soft coverage without sharp hardware or pressure points. EVOE bras are wire-free and designed with flexible fabric for everyday comfort once your treating team has approved changing from any prescribed post-operative garment.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"After a double mastectomy normal bras were uncomfortable on my scar line. This is so comfortable I hardly know I am wearing one and being able to use my prosthesis inserts gives me a very natural line."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"I got the XXL (big build, but small breasted) and these are the only bras I wear since my double mastectomy - super comfortable and don't flatten like lots of other bras like this."

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"After having BC and double mastectomy I needed a comfy bra, that also used cool material (instead of wearing compression bras). I decided to check these bras at the shop at Hillarys and Mel was so helpful and caring and fitted me with two nice bras. They are so comfortable and soft and will be perfect for wearing after my next surgery too."

Breast reconstruction and expanders

Reconstructed breasts, implants and expanders can change in shape, height, firmness and sensitivity throughout the reconstruction process.

A rigid bra may not accommodate those changes comfortably. EVOE’s stretch and separate cup construction can adapt to ordinary changes without expecting both sides to be identical.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"I have been wearing EVOE bras for about 5 years now. Love them they are comfortable and soft. Easy to pop on and no sharp bits. I find them very supportive. I have recently undergone a double mastectomy due to breast cancer and still find them soft and supportive on my scars and expanders."

Breast forms and prostheses

EVOE bras have discreet internal pockets that may accommodate many breast forms and prostheses.

Because prostheses differ in size, weight and shape, we recommend bringing yours to the Hillarys store. This allows you to check how it sits, whether the pocket opening is suitable and how the weight feels through the straps and underband.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Got a lot of help at the shop. Bought 2 bras. I think I'm wearing one now, ha ha - soooo comfy. (Love that they've got pocket for my prosthesis)."

During radiation treatment

Radiation may leave the skin feeling warm, dry, tender or easily irritated. Some women prefer soft, wire-free garments with fewer hard pressure points during this time.

Always follow the advice of your radiation team. Remove any garment that increases rubbing, heat, pain or skin irritation.

Long after treatment has finished

Treatment may end, but scar sensitivity, asymmetry, shoulder limitations, prosthesis needs and body changes can continue for years.

Women’s bodies continue changing daily, monthly, yearly and throughout ageing. Medication, hormones, weight changes, menopause, swelling, reconstruction and natural ageing can all alter how a bra fits.

EVOE bras are designed to adapt to changing bodies rather than forcing women back into one fixed garment shape.

Why women choose EVOE bras after breast cancer

Wire-free comfort

EVOE bras contain no rigid underwire pressing beneath the breast or against sensitive areas.

Soft bamboo-blend fabric

The fabric feels soft against the skin and is designed for comfortable everyday wear.

Separate, flexible cups

Each breast is supported individually, helping the bra accommodate natural differences, asymmetry and changes following surgery.

Wide straps and broad support areas

Broader straps and underbands spread pressure over a larger area instead of concentrating it in a narrow point.

Selected prosthesis-pocket styles

Internal pockets are available in all styles for women who wear breast forms or prostheses.

Pull-on or step into construction

There are no traditional rows of hooks across the back. Depending on mobility and body shape, many women pull the bra over the head or step into it and gently pull it upwards.

Australian made

EVOE bras are made in Western Australia.

Designed for changing bodies

The garment is designed to move with the woman rather than demanding that her body remain one fixed size and shape.

A comfortable alternative to traditional mastectomy bras

Some women want a specialist mastectomy bra. Others want a soft, attractive everyday bra that does not look or feel like a medical garment.

EVOE does not sell breast prostheses, and our bras are not prescribed medical compression garments. What we provide is another option for women seeking flexible, wire-free support, selected prosthesis pockets and a caring local fitting experience.

Your surgeon, breast care nurse or treatment team should advise when you can move away from a prescribed surgical or compression bra.

Where can I get a breast cancer bra fitting in Perth’s northern suburbs?

Does EVOE sell mastectomy bras?

All EVOE bras include internal prosthesis pockets and are worn by women following mastectomy. EVOE bras are everyday comfort garments rather than prescribed surgical compression bras or medical devices.

Can I wear an EVOE bra after a lumpectomy?

Some women choose EVOE after lumpectomy because the bras are wire-free, soft and flexible. Ask your surgeon or breast care nurse when it is appropriate to change from any prescribed post-surgery garment.

Can I wear an EVOE bra after a mastectomy?

Women wear EVOE bras following single and double mastectomies, including with reconstruction, expanders or breast forms. Suitability depends on healing, scars and individual medical advice.

Do EVOE bras have prosthesis pockets?

All styles have internal pockets that may accommodate many breast prostheses or breast forms. Bring your prosthesis to the Hillarys store to check compatibility and comfort.

Does EVOE sell breast prostheses?

No. EVOE sells soft, wire-free bras, including prosthesis pocketed styles, but does not supply breast prostheses.

Are EVOE bras post-surgery compression bras?

EVOE bras are not prescribed surgical compression garments. Do not replace a hospital-recommended bra without approval from your treating team.

What is the most comfortable bra after breast cancer surgery?

There is no single best bra for every woman. The right option depends on surgery, healing stage, scars, swelling, body shape, prosthesis and medical instructions. Many women seek soft fabric, broad straps, wire-free support and minimal rubbing.

What bra is suitable for uneven breasts after a lumpectomy?

A flexible bra with separate cups may accommodate some differences between the breasts. A pocketed style may also allow a partial breast form or shaper to be worn on one side.

Can I wear a normal bra with a breast prosthesis?

Some prostheses can be worn in an appropriately supportive pocketed bra. The pocket and bra must suit the size, shape and weight of the individual prosthesis.

Are wire-free bras better after breast cancer surgery?

Wire-free bras avoid rigid pressure beneath the breast and may feel more comfortable around some scars. The right support still depends on your procedure and the advice of your treating team.

What should I bring to a post-mastectomy bra fitting?

Bring your breast form or prosthesis, a comfortable top and any questions you have. Wait until your medical team has approved fitting if you still have healing wounds, drains or dressings.

Do I need an appointment to visit EVOE Hillarys?

You can visit during store opening hours. No appointment needed.

Can I wear an EVOE bra during a CT, PET or MRI scan?

We have a lot of ladies that buy our bras for this treatment as there is no metal hooks, clasps or zippers. Always follow the instructions of the hospital or imaging provider. Requirements vary, and you may be asked to remove garments regardless of whether they contain metal.

Can I sleep in an EVOE bra after surgery?

Only sleep in a bra after surgery if your surgeon or breast care nurse has approved it. Some women choose soft support later in recovery, but individual instructions differ.

What should I do if a bra rubs my scars?

Remove the garment if it increases pain, rubbing, swelling, skin irritation or pressure. Speak with your treating team if you are concerned about healing or a new symptom.
